Using IBD Fundamentals and Telechart Technicals to Find Fast Moving Stocks

Hi, I am a 34 year old part-time trader that started this website as a way to improving my skills as a trader and also sharing my thoughts on the market.    I am basically a follower of the CANSLIM method of investing developed by William O'Neil, founder of Investor's Business Daily, but I have fine-tuned those strategies for my own tastes.   Using the powerful trading software from Worden Brothers (Telechart) along with scans I have developed over the last few years, I look to find stocks setting up for powerful moves.   Ideally, I will hold those stocks for weeks at a time, but depending on the market, I may trade stocks for only a few days or less.   I will short stocks if the setups are there but prefer to go long.

I also use Telechart to keep track of certain measurements that together form a market-timing system that helps keep me in the market when I should be and out of the market and in cash when I should be as well.   This timing system has three main parts and you may hear me discuss these "signals" in my posts or in my videos.

I've been trading for about five years now and I enjoy the challenge the stock market brings and aim to be the best trader I can possibly be.    I would like to think I am pretty good at what I do, but I also realize that there are always things to learn and improve on as a trader, and so I try to work hard and not get complacent in my trading.    I hope this website can help you become the trader you would like to become and gives you ideas of what to look for in stocks and the overall market as you go forward in your trading.

I am happily married going on seven years with two young boys that keep my wife and I very busy.   I enjoy reading, watching and playing sports, and spending time with my family.    I hope you enjoy my website, learn something from it, and can make some money at the same time.  Please feel free to ask questions or share comments whenever you have them.   Thanks.
